In exactly two weeks, on Thursday, October 28, 2010 between 6:30PM-9:30PM, I will have a gallery opening at Payag Restaurant in Queens, New York. Payag Restaurant is located on the (corner 52nd St & Roosevelt) 51-34 Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside, NY 11377). I will be the third in a series of Filipino-American photographers whose work has been displayed in the gallery. The debut was for photographer Ronn Tann (September 2010). Ernie Pena's work is currently on display for the month of October 2010.
Please check out their work on display and online. Payag Restaurant is known as "Redefined Filipino Cuisine", by owner Rena Avendula. Although, they are relatively young and new in Queens, they have been featured in many articles and have been invited in culinary shows due to the fresh and innovative presentation and taste of southern Filipino dishes. Executive Chef Raymond Ganados leads the culinary experts behind the scenes at Payag.
Please drop by Payag Restaurant during the month of November 2010 to take a look at my gallery and enjoy excellent Filipino cuisine for an improptu visit or your next event.
The November 2010 gallery will feature a visual experience captured both in the United States and the Philippines. The gallery opening will feature a multi media components that complete a visual experience. As a Filipino-American, I am filled with rich experiences in the Philippines and the United States. My childhood was formed with time spent in Manila, Quezon City, and Queens, New York. It is about life, family, and the beauty of God's grace.
I hope to see you on October 28, 2010 at 6:30pm. The gallery opening falls under the ongoing Queens Asian Festival Networking event hosted by Luis F. Pedron. Suggested donation: $10 with light snack. Bring your business cards to network. RSVP: LuisPedron@gmail.com
